Poetry by Saleem Clarke
My Mine
-I don't pay much mind to my mine sometimes.
-Sometimes my mind rhymes.
-My mind likes to rhyme with Sublime Time
That’s his buddy, his lifeline.
-There's been a crime.
-A midnight phantom has invaded this mine of mine.
-Now I have no mind to mind.
-Does this mean he could mind my mine?
-No, I have mined my mind for some time.
-But my mind doesn't matter.
-Cuz matter of the mine doesn't mind the mine of the latter.
-My mind is my matter.
-Therefore my matter is mine.
-I wonder what lies in that
-Mind of Mine,
-Does it Matter?
